Saint Severin by Robert Delaunay

This masterly early canvas, temporarily titled “Saint Severin”, is part of the famous series dedicated to the Saint-Séverin church by the artist Robert Delaunay. Through this study of Gothic architecture, the painter explores the deconstruction of light and space under the influence of emerging Cubism.
