Red Deer (Marc)

In this work, Franz Marc immerses us in an enchanted forest where a group of red deer moves gracefully. The colors are bold and anti-naturalistic, typical of Expressionism. The animals’ bodies, in a bright red-brown, contrast with the blue and green tree trunks and a ground in shades of purple and green.
