Adoration of the Magi 2 by Sandro Botticelli

This sumptuous choral composition of the Florentine Renaissance, painted by the illustrious artist Sandro Botticelli, constitutes a major milestone in the history of Western art. A large and elegant crowd of Florentine notables in ceremonial attire surrounds the sacred group, forming a large dynamic semicircle in the foreground. A magnificent multi-colored blue peacock is perched on the stone ruins to the right. Tall Roman columns stand on the left side.
