Fall in love with the custom oil painting of Robert Delaunay

A sublime artist painting hand painted with passion and extreme precision by a fine art artisan

Delaunay Robert
Initially trained in decorative painting, Robert Delaunay actively participated in the pictorial revolutions of the early twentieth century. Evolving at the heart of the Parisian avant-garde, the artist moved beyond the precepts of Cubism to explore the dynamics of pure color. His theoretical and practical work laid the foundation of Orphism, opening the path toward Abstract Art. This singular career accompanied the transformation of the visual arts in France.

The artist’s painting relies essentially on the law of simultaneous contrast of colors. This foundational artistic principle creates movement through the simple juxtaposition of complementary hues. Modern urban architecture subsequently became his favorite subject. The famous series dedicated to “The Eiffel Tower 1” shows the metallic structure shattered under the intense effect of light. With “Simultaneous Windows”, light diffraction transforms the urban landscape into delicate, luminous colorful prisms. The search for pure pictorial vibration asserts itself further in “Circular Forms 1”, marking the abandonment of figurative subjects. Finally, monumental compositions like “Rhythm Joy of Life” display dynamic concentric disks.

An influential color theorist, the painter marked the history of modernism by freeing color from its representational function. His research into rhythm and light inspired numerous European creators. His pictorial legacy maintains a decisive role in the development of geometric abstraction.
Acquiring a copy of Delaunay offers the unique opportunity to admire his vibrant color harmonies in your home, faithfully recreated through a hand-crafted oil painting.
