His left arm rests limply on a red cushion padded with pink silk, while his right hand lies inert on his thigh. Behind him, a playful little satyr with goat legs blows strongly into a large white seashell conch directed directly toward his ear in an attempt to wake him. Another satyr emerges from the gilded metal breastplate lying on the ground at his side. The soft light illuminates the light skin of the young sleeping god, contrasting with the dark tree trunk and the wasps flying near their nest.
