Workers on their Way Home by Edvard Munch

They wear heavy blue and brown jackets and pulled-down black hats, their silhouettes jostling in a particularly suffocating frontal perspective. On the right, a long ocre wooden wall delimits the path, while on the left urban building facades can be discerned under a grey twilight sky. The horizontal brushstrokes accentuate the crowd effect.
