Summer by Eugène Delacroix

A large black dog moves nervously in the foreground, while other nymphs bathe or flee into the distant thickets of the background. The light focuses beautifully on the milky skin of the goddess, contrasting strikingly with the mysterious shadow of the tall trees and the turbulent sky.
