This expressionistic and dramatic work, titled “The Eiffel Tower 1”, belongs to the famous series of urban views created by the artist Robert Delaunay. By decomposing the landmark monument of Paris in a sky tormented by thick clouds of steam, the painter moves away from classical realism.
