The Family of Saltimbanques by Pablo Picasso

This melancholic fresco belongs to one of the most famous periods of modern painting, dedicated to the world of carnival performers and street artists. The legendary creator Picasso Pablo signs here a monumental composition entitled “The Family of Saltimbanques” which explores the shared solitude of circus nomads. Further away, a slender young boy in black shorts carries a drum on his shoulder, while another child in blue clothing stands beside him. Seated on the right, a woman wearing a straw hat seems excluded from the group, next to a jar.
