Our gallery are given a game on kitsch and pastiche, references to "bad painting"and a certain pleasure in the degradation of the models, while it demonstrates a thorough knowledge of art history by constant references to painters of the past (Boucher, Fragonard, Courbet, Manet, …). These works are motivated by the desire to question the antagonistic notions of academism and avant-garde. This cultural legacy of styles and credentials attesting to the disappearance of the great tradition of painting, but confirm the vitality of the current practice of painting that finds its sources as well in the old masterpieces as the images produced by the culture Contemporary.
